Grothouse Lumber's skilled craftsmen produce wood countertops and island tops in any shape or layout you specify. Because everything they produce is custom manufactured, you're not limited to one particular size, thickness, or construction. These wood countertops can be configured to fit any particular space, from large, monolithic islands to small galley kitchens to anything in between. Grothouse Lumber can produce some of the most complex and intricate patterns, designs, and inlays in the wood surfaces market.
Grothouse Lumber Company offers: More than 60 wood species available within our standard 2 - 3 week lead time. Three different construction styles: Edge Grain, End Grain, or Flat Grain. Integrated sink cut-outs, cooktops, mitered joints, complex shapes, and more. A wide range of edge profiles, including the largest available edges currently on the market. An endless array of additional options, including integrated trivets, trash hols, or drainboards.
There are two distinct finishes on the wood tops.
The food-grade oil finish is ideal for applications where the top will be used for direct foor preparation such as cutting or chopping.
The Durata Permanent Finish is a no-maintenace finish ideal for use around water or applications that do not involve cutting or chopping.
